A BIG Thank You and a Little Treat

Welcome to my last Blog of 2020.

Thank you for joining, especially to those who are new to my blogs.

I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

There’s no doubt that 2020 has been a tough year for all; I’d like to take this chance to thank you all for your support and for helping me through these uncertain times.

I’ve been working very hard to ensure a smooth service, however the success and growth I’ve experienced this year is down to my lovely customers, I couldn’t have done this without you.

At this point, I can’t thank you enough for choosing to support a small independent business like mine and others.

As lockdown hit us in March, I like many other small businesses owners thought it could all be over, but somehow through it all, I’m so happy to say I’ve pulled through to December 2020!

I wanted to end this year on a positive and share with you some of the highlights of this year and also give you a sneak peek of what’s in store for 2021.

So here goes, in no particular order….

I’ve updated my website, launched a blog, carried out 3 photo shoots, launched a Loungewear collection along with a number of product categories, focused on making my business sustainable, onboarded with 10 online marketplaces and listed with 3 independent retailers as well as 2 business to business sites, appeared in many publications with the highlight being USA Today last month and this month, run an amazing giveaway, executed many bespoke projects, created 3 fabulous look books, participated in Top Drawer’s virtual trade fair, and last but not least, had my fabric appear on BBC’s Money For Nothing.

What will 2021 bring…

As you can see, despite lockdown, 2020 was jammed packed, in fact I think for many businesses lockdown meant a lot of aspects had to be speeded up in order to survive. I’m going to take the early part of 2021 to take stock and really think about my business focus and values. I have a wealth of products- some would say too many! So I need to work out how it all fits together going forward. Sustainability has become increasingly more urgent and I want to work further on the transparency of all my products and production- from source to end product, to ensure my customers know what they’re buying into and to build more trust in this area.

As 2020 has been so busy on the business side, I’ve hardly had a chance to focus on the creative side of things. You’ll be pleased to know I have all my print ideas and colour palettes mapped out for my next collection, I just need to create them.
